Most haunted attractions are warehouses with plywood walls and fog machines. Forsaken Forest is not that.
We started with a simple premise: the scariest place on earth isn't a building — it's the woods at night. There's no ceiling to protect you. No floor plan to memorize. No exits you can see. Just trees, darkness, and whatever is waiting between them.
Forsaken Forest was built from the ground up in Richmond, Indiana to deliver exactly that: an outdoor haunted attraction carved directly into the treeline at 5970 IN-121. The terrain is real. The atmosphere is real. The scares are designed by people who take fear seriously.
Every September, we open the forest. Every October 31st, we close it. In between, thousands of people walk in. Most of them walk back out.
You're walking through actual Indiana woods at night. Uneven ground. Elevation changes. No lighting except what we put there intentionally. Your body knows it's not fake — because it isn't.
Our cast goes through seasonal training before a single guest walks through the gate. Timing, physicality, improvisation, character work. They study your reactions. That’s why it works.
Traditional haunts give you a hallway and a door to escape through. Forsaken Forest is open sky above you and forest on every side. Your usual coping strategies don't apply here.
Forsaken Forest sits at the edge of Richmond, Indiana — a city at the crossroads of the Midwest, within easy reach of the region’s biggest metro areas.
Richmond is roughly 45 minutes east of Dayton, Ohio. An hour and a half from Cincinnati. An hour and a half from Indianapolis. Close enough to make it a night trip, far enough that the drive through rural Indiana puts you in the right headspace before you even arrive.
The grounds at 5970 IN-121 sit outside the city center, where the light ends and the trees begin. Free parking is directly across the street. The midway, food trucks, and ticket gates are waiting when you pull in. What’s inside the treeline waits for you too.

Gates open 7:00 PM. Last entry 10:00 PM. Slightly smaller crowds than weekend nights. Still a full experience.
