Galley Electric is locally owned and owner-run out of Cincinnati's west side. There's no dispatch center, no franchise fee baked into your invoice, and no rotating cast of subcontractors. You call, Grant answers, and Grant is the licensed electrician who shows up.
Started in 2018, still answering the phone
Galley Electric opened in 2018 doing the work most outfits treat as filler: service calls, panel swaps, the dead circuit nobody else wanted to chase down. That's still the backbone of the business, and it's still the work that tells you what kind of electrician you hired.
What grew out of it was a reputation for old houses. Cincinnati has neighborhoods full of them, and most contractors quote a gut job because it's easier than fishing a wall. We took the other route, and it became the thing we're known for.
What we won't do
We don't sell you a rewire when you need a receptacle. We don't quote a job we haven't looked at. And we don't disappear between the estimate and the inspection — the person who priced the work is the person doing it.

Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus in Ohio, plus Louisville, Lexington, and Northern Kentucky. If you're near the edge of that, call and ask. If we can get a truck there, we'll quote it.

What people ask before they book.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Every electrician on the job is licensed and insured, and we'll provide the paperwork before we start if your project or your insurer needs it.
How do I know if my panel needs replacing?
The usual tells are breakers that trip for no reason, lights that flicker when an appliance kicks on, a burning smell, buzzing at the panel, visible scorching, or any sparking at all. If you're seeing more than one of those, stop guessing and call. A panel is not the place to wait and see.
Can you help cut my energy bill?
Often, yes. LED retrofits and properly zoned lighting are the cheapest wins, and smart controls make sense in some houses and not others. We'll tell you which category you're in rather than selling you the whole catalog.
Do you charge for an estimate?
Call and describe the job. Plenty of questions get answered on the phone for free. When a job needs eyes on it, we'll tell you that up front and what the visit involves.
